What do you mean by 'no contract'?
Exactly that. You are only obliged to pay for one month's membership by direct debit and after that you can cancel your membership at any time with your bank.
However, we do have an H2twelve membership which is a 12 month contract with your 13th and 14th month's free of charge.
Why do you have different monthly membership types and a pay as you use membership?
We believe in providing value for money and therefore we offer different membership types to give our members choice and to allow them to select the membership type that best suits their use of our club.
Can I trial H2 before joining?
Yes you can. Simply e-mail email@example.com requesting a free trial and the date you want your free trial to start.
Can I delay the start of my membership?
Yes, you can delay the start of your membership by up to 3 months. All you need to do is select the date you wish your membership to start and put this date in the start date in the join process.
Will I be issued with an H2 Bike Run membership card?
Yes, all monthly members will be issed with a membership card on their first visit to the club and this will give them access to the club and the locker room. All pay as you use members will be given a card for their visit which will give them access to the locker room.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes, you can freeze your membership for £10.00 a month. Please ask the Crew to freeze your membership and it will be frozen immediately. To unfreeze your membership please ask the Crew to unfreeze your membership.
Please note that memberships can only be frozen for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months. After this time your membership will be automatically unfrozen and your monthly direct debit returned to the normal payment.
Lockers cannot be frozen. You will be charged for your locker each month along with the £10 freeze charge.
Can I share or give my membership to somebody else to use?
No. Under no circumstances can you give or share your membership card with anybody else as it is unique to you. To protect the interests and ensure the safety of our valued, paying members, offenders will have their membership cancelled.
Is it possible to change my direct debit date?
No this is not possible. Your direct debit date is automatically set up as 12 days after your start date.
I haven't received my Welcome E-mail with my login details?
Your Welcome E-mail which includes your login details for your account is automatically e-mailed to you on completion of the join process. Sometimes this e-mail can be found in Spam or Junk mail. In the unlikely event of a Welcome E-mail not being received then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org immediately so we can arrange for this to be reissued to you.
I don't have a DD account do we accept cash or card payment?
Subject to the discretion of the General Manager at each club, we are able to accept cash or card payment for memberships.
How do I cancel my membership?
The cancellation process is very easy. All cancellations are processed immediately so no notice is required. All you need to do to cancel your membership is to cancel your direct debit with your bank. We also offer a freeze facility for £10.00 a month, which is much better value than cancelling and rejoining if you are going away for a month or two.
Can I pay up front for a year?
Yes you can and we can offer you a discounted rate. Please contact email@example.com and we can sort this for you.
When does the first month's payment come out of my bank account?
Your first payment will be processed 12 days after the joining process. This payment will include the joining fee and first month's payment. Future payments will be debited on the same day each month.
Can I cancel my membership within the first 7 days of joining and not pay any money?
Yes you can. Join up online and if you are not happy with the product or service within the first 7 days of joining then you can cancel your direct debit at your bank and no money will taken from your account.
Can I get a monthly invoice?
Yes. A monthly invoice is produced each month and members can view and download their invoices by logging in and viewing invoice history in the Account section of the members log in.
Can I change my membership type mid month?
Yes you can. All you need to do is log in to your account and click on upgrade or downgrade membership to make a change to your membership. A pro-rata charge will be collected by direct debit for any additional cost in the month for any upgrade. Your new monthly payment will commence from your next direct debit date following the end of the invoice period in which you made the change to your membership.
Can I downgrade to a pay as you use membership from a monthly membership?
Yes you can. We would advise all members to cancel their direct debit with their bank and then contact H2 to reinstate your lapsed membership to a pay as you use membership.
Can I rent a permanent locker?
Yes, all you need to do is either choose a permanent locker when joining up or you can add a permanent locker to your account by logging in to your account and selecting a permanent locker to rent.
How do I get a corporate membership rate?
We need a minimum of 5 members from a company to be able to offer a corporate rate. For all corporate enquiries please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Facilities & Equipment
Does H2 offer classes?
Of course. We offer 27 H2 Ride Spinning classes and 27 H2 Fit classes a week. We also promise to add more classes to the schedule to meet demand.
How do I book in for a class?
All classes are booked through your members area of the website, using your e-mail address and password and then booking the class that you require.
How do I cancel a booking?
To cancel a class please go to the members area of the website and login to your account and cancel your booking. We ask all members to give as much notice as possible when cancelling a booking so that other members may take your place in the class.
Please note that you will lose any credits used to book a class for any cancellations with less than 3 hours notice.
How far ahead can I book a class and how many people will be in a class?
You can book classes as far ahead as the timetable is scheduled. H2 Ride spinning classes have a maximum of 32 people in a class and H2 Fit classes have a maximum of 15 people in a class.
Who teaches the classes?
All of our H2 Ride spinning classes are taught by professionally qualified Spinning instructors and all of our H2 Fit classes are taught by professional qualified Personal Trainers or Instructors. This ensures that we have the highest standard of teaching in all of our classes.
How does the credits system work?
We offer a credits system whereby members (without unlimited H2 Ride and H2 Fit classes) can purchase H2 Ride credits for spinning classes and H2 Fit credits for TRX, Boxercise, Pilates and Cross Fit classes. These credits are purchased in the Members area of the website and each class is worth a certain number of credits. The credits have a 12 month expiry date from the date of purchase.
Can I book a class pre-11am even though I am an off peak member?
Yes you can. Provided you have a class booked then you will be allowed access before 11am so that you can attend this class.
Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
All members can take a free 25 minute session with our personal trainer who will show them how all of the equipment in the gym works. Please ask the crew to book you a session.
What equipment does the gym have?
The gym has Kettle Bells, Bench Press, Olympic Lifting Equipment and Suspension Systems like the TRX, War Machine, Metabolic Training Systems, combined with Flexibility and Agility, Gymnastic Rings and Boxing bags.
We do not have cardio equipment in the gym as the H2 Ride and H2 Fit classes combined with the H2 Nike+ Run Club and your run/cycle commute should give you all the cardio exercise that you need.
Are personal or group personal training sessions available?
Yes. Personal Training sessions are availble from £30 for half an hour. Please e-mail email@example.com or speak to the Crew for more information.
Are towels provided?
Yes, all members receive a fluffy towel free with every visit.
Are there showers, changing facilities & lockers in each H2?
Yes, we have 20 showers and 750 lockers in the male locker room and 16 showers and 450 lockers in the female locker room. All members receive a fluffy towel free with every visit as well as use of a session locker on every visit. We also provide free shampoo and conditioner, hairdryers and GHD hair straighteners.
Are there sports therapies available?
Yes, we have an onsite Treatment room which offers sports massage, physiotherapy, accupunture, osteopathy and podiatry. For more information or to book a treatment please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to the Crew.
Does the club have a sauna, steam room, spa and pool?
No. We have focussed on providing a world class club, equipment and classes at an affordable price which has meant we have had to do without unnecessary extras such as a pool.

Will I be safe at H2?
Yes. each club has staff on site at all times and is monitored by CCTV.
Will my bike be safe at H2?
Yes. The bike park is monitored by CCTV and is regularly patrolled by our staff to ensure all of our member's bikes are secure. Please note we do ask all of our members to lock their bikes in the bike park for added security.
